You’ve tried, but you just can’t seem to get past it.
This isn’t who you are – what you know you can be. You’re intelligent, motivated, and successful. You’ve always been up to the challenge, but something is wrong.
And you really don’t enjoy feeling this way, but you don’t know how to break free.
What you tried in the past isn’t working anymore – the things you used to love or find exciting – now, not so much.
You KNOW there’s something more, something better, out there.
But where is it? How do you reach it?
The good news? You’re not alone, and there is a way forward.
You’re motivated. Creative. Professional.
Your faith is important to you, and you’re fully committed to making transformational changes in your life.
Changes that shed fragmented and false aspects of your old self.
Changes that foster integrated mind, body, and spirit – so you can experience authentic joy, peace, and purpose.
Together, through therapy, we can bring this integrated, true Self into all aspects of your life – your work and your most intimate, sacred relationships where you can then enjoy the freedom to cultivate genuine love, joy, and fulfillment.
A different experience
Together, we’ll use a unique combination of approaches from Depth Psychology, Somatic Experiencing, Relational Development, and Spirituality, rooted in a Contemplative Catholic framework.
We’ll combine relational, experiential, relational, spiritual, and pragmatic techniques to help you receive what you want from your life with more ease, less pain, more purposeful awareness, and greater love and satisfaction in your relationships.
The emergence of the true Self in the individual allows for greater clarity about your values, purpose, and desires, not only for your Self, but also in your work and within the context of a healthy, intimate relationship with your spouse.
Mind, heart, AND body
Most therapists include approaches that speak to the head and the heart, but somatic approaches go one step further. They align the body with the head and heart.
Depth Psychology adds additional, transpersonal understanding, which, along with the spiritual accompaniment, allows for the emergence of your full potential.
This combination gently whittles away the aspects of the fragmented and false self to reveal your True Self, the place where head, heart, body, spirit, and soul meet.
It includes the big picture. All of you – your relationship with your mate, with God, and, ultimately, your unique gifts and purpose.
The deepening spiral of our transformative work continues between sessions with homework that helps integrate skills and awareness cultivated in session, so it translates into the practicalities of day-to-day life and relationships.
Embrace your complete self. See where transformation takes you.
Take a chance. Make that call. Integrate body, mind, and soul to find the joy and fulfillment of your dreams.
About me
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Virtual Counselor, Certified Movement Therapist, and Certified Spiritual Director.
It’s my vocation to guide women who struggle with anxiety and depression to move past unconscious and unhelpful patterns rooted in the past –
To move into the fullness of joy and purpose of life in the present, to feel at peace inside their own skin, to move through life transitions, to perform better, to relate with more ease, to move into their authentic Selves, and to blossom into their full potential as the unique gifts from God that they truly are.
It’s also my honor and privilege to assist couples in enriching their relationships; reigniting their sacred spark; and shedding anything that keeps them from the genuine, loving, sacramental marriage that they truly desire and deserve.
My professional training
I earned my bachelor’s degree at UC-Davis and my master’s degree in Psychology with a Dance Movement Therapy Certification from Cal State University-East Bay.
I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and a graduate of the Authentic Movement Institute Training Program.
I hold certifications in Conflict Resolution (New Ways for Families High Conflict Institute), Developmental Model Couples Therapy Training (The Couples Institute), and Certified Spiritual Director (Global Online Benedictine Spiritual Director Program).
My personal interests
When I’m not seeing clients in my private practice, you can find me facilitating Soul-Work Workshops for Women, which combine Authentic Movement, drawing, journaling, and sharing within the group.
My husband and I are Camaldolese Benedictine Oblates of the Monastery of the Risen Christ in San Luis Obispo. We typically pray Lauds, Vespers, and Compline, attend Mass regularly, and practice Lectio Divina together daily. I also Meditate and practice Centering Prayer daily and enjoy providing Spiritual Direction and writing Icons.
My hobbies include writing, reading literary fiction and poetry, composing music, singing, playing guitar, and gardening.
I’m a Peloton junkie who revels in a sweaty daily cycling workout, followed by some yoga, barre, or stretching. When outdoors, my husband and I indulge in hiking, kayaking, and putting the top down on our convertible for long drives around the beautiful California Central Coast. My husband has wanderlust, so we travel, wander, and enjoy getting lost together.
We’re also foodies who love entertaining – sharing homemade meals with our family (including four grown sons) and friends out on our deck while warding off our very spoiled six pet hens and two cats, typically lurking nearby awaiting treats.
